We post original multi-page documents in PDF format on our website. The problem comes when someone attempts to print the PDF document and instead of printing one entire document each page has to be printed one at a time. For a reader this creates frustration. Is there a solution?

That’s interesting – I’ve never had that problem before. Have you tried to download and print from your own site? Does it work for you? I am wondering if it is a user setting that is stopping it…

The documents are old paper documents scanned to PDF and saved to the data base library. They are loaded to a post from there. Is this the wrong way to go about it?

my suggestion is to send me a sample of the PDF document, I’d like to test it out.

Also you could try uploading it to your WordPress playground site – media library – to see if it works there. Then you’d know whether it is a function/plugin on your live site that is causing the trouble.

But it should be quite simple:

        1. Add the PDF to the media library
        2. Copy the link
        3. Paste the link within a post or page (or add that link to an image – to have a graphic that goes to the PDF)

        Cheers!
